Gautam Kumar, a resident of Lakshmipur Bhagwati village under Kumarkhand block and a Class 10 student of Jawahar High School, Ramnagar Bela, has developed an extraordinary project through which electricity can be generated as vehicles move on the road.

About the Innovator and His Invention
Gautam Kumar, son of Mr. Ravindra Tanti and Mrs. Soni Devi, has made a unique invention named the “Piezoelectric Road.”
In this project, he has used special piezoelectric plates that convert the mechanical pressure generated by moving vehicles into electrical energy.
The generated power is stored in a dedicated storage unit, which can later be used for street lighting, traffic signals, and mobile charging stations.
Next Phase – Wireless Charging for Electric Vehicles (EVs)
Gautam mentioned that the next phase of this project will be even more exciting and beneficial.
He is working on a system where the electricity generated from the road will be used for wirelessly charging electric vehicles (EVs).
When EVs pass over this road, not only will electricity be generated, but with the help of a wireless charging system installed beneath the road, the vehicles will also be charged automatically while in motion.
This technology could become a revolutionary solution to the charging challenges faced by electric vehicles in the future.
Promoting Green and Sustainable Energy
He stated that this project has been developed with the aim of promoting green energy.
At a time when the demand for electricity is constantly increasing and traditional energy sources are under immense pressure, this innovation could play an important role in addressing the global energy crisis.
Technical Guidance and Support from Sparkovation Hub
The project was developed with technical support and guidance from the Innovation Center of Sparkovation Hub of Science and Technology Pvt. Ltd.
The organization provided Gautam with necessary assistance in prototype design, circuit development, and testing processes.
